The Rotary Club of Mayfair is part of the worldwide network of Rotary Clubs (see here). It was charted at the beginning of 2017.  We currently have around 35 members.  Each Rotary Club is unique, although we share the Rotarian values and are proud to be part of the global Rotarian community.

Mission of Rotary

The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards and to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are non-political, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

Together in our Club, as an international, but locally anchored organisation, we can take action to create lasting beneficial change in our communities across the globe.

The Rotary Club of Mayfair exists to give expression to Rotary International’s Mission and to benefit society through humanitarian and environmental charitable projects within an atmosphere of friendship and fellowship within the Club.

What characterises our Club?

We are international and internationally minded, inclusive and diverse, open minded to cultural enrichment and to divergent opinions.  We are informal in our interactions and in the way we run our Club, yet also respectful of the other person and his/her cultural background.

Our members are individuals, who have made or are demonstrably making their mark in their chosen field, sector or profession.  They are talented, ambitious, movers & shakers and one can expect to hear from or about them in years to come.

Each of us wants to make a difference in society at large and in our local communities, both professionally and through our charitable or social contributions.  Rotary provides us with the framework (and the support), as well as a global network through which to achieve that.
